Real Wedding: Sarah & Marco at Cabeza de Toro

How It Started

Sarah and Marco had been together for six years when they decided they did not want a traditional wedding. "We wanted our closest people, incredible food, and to wake up on a beach the next morning," Sarah told us. "Punta Cana checked every box." They found us through a friend's Instagram post, booked a video call, and had a wedding date confirmed within four days.

The Planning Process

With 45 guests flying in from Canada, Italy, and the United States, logistics were the main concern. The coordination team handled all hotel block recommendations, airport transfer coordination, and vendor scheduling. Sarah and Marco used the online calculator to configure their wedding — ceremony setup, Caribbean menu with open bar, a four-piece salsa band, and a full-day photography package. Total planning time: eleven days.

The Day

The ceremony took place at 5:30pm, timed precisely for golden hour. The arch was draped in white orchids and tropical greenery. Marco teared up when Sarah appeared at the end of the natural aisle formed by their guests. The reception ran until midnight with dancing, a surprise fire dancer act, and a late-night dessert station that featured local Dominican sweets.

What They Would Tell Other Couples

"Trust the team," Marco said. "We were nervous about not being there to oversee everything in person, but every single thing we asked for was done — and a few things we didn't even think to ask for." Sarah added: "Do the salsa band. It was the moment of the night."
